America the Beautiful

Happy Fourth of July!

Check out America the Beautiful, performed by one of my favorite guitarists, Zakk Wylde from Black Label Society (he's also Ozzy's guitarist). This is from their album 1919 Eternal.

Check it out for the song; it isn't a proper video -- someone just set it to a generic slideshow.

And a great and happy fourth to all Americans. We'll be celebrating with cookouts and fireworks and libs will be paying their tributes by trying to shout down the President as we all welcome our newest Americans.

Thanks to all the patriots who made it possible for us to enjoy and freedoms!

And don't worry libs, the celebration of America will be over tomorrow and you can come out of your funk.

Trenton, you really are a piece of work. Patriot just doesn't work with Democrat, lib, or progressive does it? I better inform my lib nephew that it's ok for him to come home from Afghanistan and leave the fighting up to the other political clubs.

Anyhow, Jay, I noticed the post that had 25 comments on it only displays 21 of them. I was engaged in a conversation with our pal, Trenton, and I wanted to continue by reading the responses. How do you access the comments that aren't displayed?

Huh. I see all post comments. Click on the link for "25 comments" and you should see them all.

My fault, Jay. I had my entry under another topic, and I thought it was the one that had 25 entries.

Give me 2 demerits.

Fredabama,

I saw your reply in the other thread. It's hard to have a linear conversation in this format, isn't it?

Anyway, a couple of points -

First, your list may be a lot of things, but it is not random. Even lib brains don't work that way. The items on the list were there because your conscious or subconscious mind choose them and I thought those choices were quite interesting and instructive.

B: You end by claiming that, like a feathery, floating higher order of being, you have risen above labels. You sound like Gary when you do that and I'll bet you don't fall for it when he tries that particularly transparent bit of self delusion.

Wasn't it you who asked to be labeled based on your list? Who was it that so easily labeled his own nephew as a lib?

Perhaps I was wrong in my earlier point about your list - maybe the lib brain really is driven simply by random impulses, free of logic and the constraints of consistency.

That would explain a lot after all.

Trenton,

Ok, you win. Call me a lib because my brain is driven by random impulses and not tied to any consistent, logical political dogma associated with your chosen political tribe.
