I don't like the question as it is too generic.
I've always advocated a 3 step process for solving the illegal immigration issue
1) Build the stinkin' wall. NOW!!
2) Deport any and all illegals who are currently in one of our jails or does not currently have a job
3) Anyone who is currently here, is employed and can get on the books within 2 years by passing a citizenship test, an english test, a driving test and acquire a legal S.S. number gets amnesty. No questions asked.
Then from that point on, say after the two year grace period, we as a nation become, dare I say, heartless about immigration.
Instant deportation for illegals and jail time and severe fines for employers who employ illegals.
